Abstract

1473660 Treating sawn green wood AEK TISSEVERASINGHE 25 Sept 1974 [18 Dec 1973] 58515/73 Heading DIP Sawn green wood is treated by feeding a liquid preservative to a stack of the timber from above, the treatment being conducted in intermittent periods of liquid application, with intermittent periods in which the applied liquid is left, without the application of heat, to penetrate into the wood. Preferably the excess liquid is collected below the stack and returned to the spray system. The period for full penetration of the wood is between 12 and 24 hours.
