1449429 Preserving flowers M L R C BELLANGER 18 April 1975 [30 May 1974] 16057/ 75 Heading A2D A device for the application of a dose of preservative to cut-flowers comprises a portion of paper, card or other absorbent material impregnated with a quantity of a water-soluble preservative determined in relation to a specific Quantity of water in which said card is designed to be immersed. In use, the impregnated card is immersed in the water in which the cut flowers are to be or have been dipped. A suitable impregnating solution is a mixture of 8-hydroxyquinoline sulphate, citric acid and water.
