Abstract

1473534 Gutters HEPWORTH PLASTICS Ltd 27 Jan 1975 [11 June 1974] 25790/74 Heading E1B A fitting for providing a gutter outlet comprises a pipe portion 8 having at one enlarged end an outwardly extending flange 9 for mating with the underside of a gutter and having arms 10 extending from the outer periphery of the flange and terminating in inturned ends 11 for resilient engagement over the edges of a gutter with which the flange is mated. A hole 14 is cut in the gutter with a diameter less than the internal diameter of the flange 9 so that rain water may be drained into the pipe 8 without contact with the flange. The pipe 8 may provide a spigot for accepting a socket on a down pipe and may be of square or circular section. An annular sealing member may be provided between the flange and the gutter.
