Abstract
1472661 Utilizing wave and tidal energy E GIVATY 6 Dec 1974 [30 Jan 1974] 52791/74 Heading F1S A motor utilizing wave and tidal energy comprises a float 1 driving a piston 6 in a cylinder 7 via a lever 2, to one end at which the piston is articulated. As shown, the piston pumps water through a conduit 9 to a storage container, from which it may be transferred to a desalinating plant, or utilized to drive a turbine. Again, Fig. 2 (not shown), the piston may form part of an air compressor (12), the compressed air being utilized to drive machinery or a turbine. The float may be articulated to the lever end to allow it to turn into the direction of the waves.
