Abstract
1472603 Disperse azo dyes containing cyanovinyl groups PRODUITS CHIMIQUES UGINE KUHLMANN 11 April 1974 [13 April 1973] 16152/74 Addition to 1309876 Heading C4P Novel dyes of formula (where the radical -CH=CH-CN is linked at the 4 or 5 position; X is H or Cl; A may be substituted by Cl, alkyl, alkoxy or carboxylic acid acylamino; m is 0 or 1; Y is CO or SO 2 , the group -Y-N(R 1 )(R 2 ) is attached at the 3<SP>1</SP> or 41 position, R 1 is C 1-4 alkyl and R 2 is H or C 1-4 alkyl) are prepared, when m is 0, by coupling a diazotized amino-cinnamonitrile with the corresponding pyrazolone coupling component; or, when m is 1, by coupling the diazo compound with an aniline coupling in the p-position then diazotizing the product and coupling with the corresponding pyrazolone compound. The dyes are used to colour synthetic fibres, particularly polyesters in yellow, orange and scarlet shades.
