Abstract

1472378 Supporting inserts in a mould BASSANI TICINO SpA 2 May 1975 [3 May 1974 6 Feb 1975] 18516/75 Heading B5A [Also in Division E1] A box 3 having an open face, and a cruciform support element 8 are braced against opposite walls 1, 2 of a mould by a conduit 6, for embedding in concrete. The conduit 6 engages in a projecting sleeve 4 of the box 3 over a projection 5, or within a recess defined by the box wall. The sleeve 4 can be held against the box by a screwed hook 26 (Fig. 7), to clamp down an anchorage 20/21, and additional fixtures for the box to the mould wall 1 can be provided. The other end of the conduit 6 engages within a sleeve 30 (Fig. 1) of the support element 8, which is spaced from the mould wall 2 by the ends of its four cruciform arms. A central web of the sleeve 30 supports a split projection 9 that wedges in an aperture 11 of the wall 2. Adjacent support elements 8 are interconnected by dovetails at the ends of their arms, which are apertured to allow voids to escape during casting. The box 3 serves to support light fittings, junction boxes &c.
