Abstract

147,146. Siiemens & Halske Akt.-Ges. July 8, 1919, [Convention date]. Addition to 112,614, Photometric apparatus.-Photometric apparatus as described in the parent Specification is used for measuring the temperature of incandescent bodies, a scale of temperature and a reading device being provided in connexion with the means for adjusting the colour screens. The apparatus comprises a casing g containing a standard light l, and red and blue-green colour screens fr, fg, which are carried in a movable frame r. The position of the frame is adjustable by means of a screw s having a knob k n carrying a pointer z working over a dial a. The incandescent body is placed behind a screen n, and the illumination of the screen is adjusted by shutters i until it is equal to the illumination of a ground glass screen m. The comparison of the illumination is made by means of a Lummer-Brodhun prism e and an eye-piece c. The colour screens are then adjusted so that the colour of the standard light is the same as that of the incandescent body, and the temperature is read off. The apparatus may be modified so that the illumination of the screen m is adjustable. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) refers to a construction of apparatus comprising three colour screens as described in the parent Specification. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
