147,127. Krupp Akt.-Ges., F. Dec. 4. 1916, [Convention date]. Addition to 147,126. Mountings.-Relates to electric long-distance control of the valve-gear of the hydraulic gunlaying apparatus described in the parent Specification, in which an electric receiving-motor G operated from a. distant transmitter H acts through a hunting-apparatus F to open the hydraulic control valve E, which valve is closed when the gun has moved through the prescribed angle by gearing connecting it with the gun barrel A. According to the invention, the motor G instead of acting directly on the apparatus F to move the valve E, acts on a circuit-closing device M, N, P, Q, which, through an automatic switch device R, puts into and out of action (1) a special motnr S for moving the valve E, and (2) the magnetic coils c<4>, c<4> of the cut-out valves B, C in the hydraulic pressure pipes. The receiving- motor G drives a shaft g<1> geared to switch arms p<1>, q<1> moving over contacts m<2>, m<3> and n<2>, n<3> on disks M, N which control respectively fine and coarse adjustments of the gun. These disks are rotated through a shaft a<8> by the arc a<6> on the gun to follow the switch arms and bring the gaps between the contacts again into register with the arms when the desired movement of the gun has been effected. Conductors r<1>, r<2>, r<3> and r<4>, r<5>, r<6> lead from the devices p', M and q<1>, N to a casing R which contains magnetic coils for operating cores Z, Y, W, U, T, Fig. 3, to switch in and out the current from a circuit k<11>, k<12> leading from a main K to the field of the motor S, which current is led to the armature of the motor S by conductors r<9>, r<10>, and to the magnets c', c<4> by conductors r<11>, r<12>. The device p', M is geared to rotate at a much faster rate than the device q', N and the gaps between the contacts are so proportioned that before the arm q' makes contact the arm p' acts to switch in the motor S. To ettect this the arm p<1> on touching the contact m<3> makes a circuit through the coil y' to raise the core Y, the top bridge y<2> of which establishes a circuit through the motor S and the bottom bridge y<3> one through the cut-out magnets. When the contacts q', n<3> touch, the cores T, U are raised and the circuit through coil y<1> is broken, thereby lowering the core Y. A new working circuit through the motor S is then established by the upper bridges of the cores U, T, and a new circuit through the cut-out coils by way of the lower bridge of the core U. The device q<1>, N then controls the motor S and the device p', M may continue to rotate without affecting the switch device. When nearing the position in which the gaps again register with the switch arms, the device q<1>, N ceases to be effective and the control then passes to the device p', M.
