1471237 Benzenesulphonamides HOECHST AG 18 March 1975 [18 March 1974] 11202/75 Heading C2C Novel compounds (I) (including salts thereof) wherein R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP> which may be the same or different, each represent a hydrogen atom, or an aliphatic, a cycloaliphatic, cycloaliphatic aliphatic or phenyl aliphatic radical all of which radicals may be branched, unsubstituted or substituted by one or more hydroxy groups or a phenyl group, and/or which may be interrupted by one or more oxygen and/or sulfur atoms, or the group represents a heterocycle having from 3 to 9 members, are made by reducing corresponding nitro compounds. Pharmaceutical preparations having antihypertensive action contain (I) as active ingredient. Administration is orally or parenterally.
