1470924 Humidity-sensitive control unit HUMIDIFIER GROUP Ltd 1 Aug 1975 32218/75 Heading H1N An automatic humidity-sensitive control unit comprises a housing formed from two separable parts, a facia panel 1 and a rear part (2, Figs. 2 and 6, not shown), the panel 1 carrying a humidistat 3 with a pre-setting control 4 and a control knob 5 which controls the humidity level at which the electrical connection between contacts 6 and 7 is broken, a neon warning light 8, an on-off switch 9, a contact support 12 for a threepin socket outlet (13, Figs. 3 and 7B, not shown), and a terminal block T secured to a pillar 11. The rear part (2) has air vents (16) in top and bottom walls, the bottom also having an aperture (17) with a grommet for a mains lead and a cut-away region (19) exposing the socket 13. Parts 1 and 2 are held together by three hollow pillars (15) and self-tapping screws, and the rear wall has keyhole openings (14) for mounting on a wall. A two-way selector switch may be provided to switch a resistor or adjustable SCR into or out of circuit between the humidistat 3 and the socket outlet 13.
