Abstract
1470916 Calcium sulphate hemihydrate FELS - WERKE PEINE - SALZGITTER GmbH 12 Feb 1975 6025/75 Heading C1A CaSO 3 is oxidized to alpha-CaSO 4 . ¢HO 2 using oxygen or air as the oxidizing agent using as catalyst an iron II or iron III sulphate (or mixture thereof); the oxidation is performed either hydrothermally at 100-180‹ C. or in CaCl 2 solution at #75‹ C., with suitable adjustment of the pH to ensure the presence of HSO 3 - ions.
