Abstract

1470134 Injection blow-moulding MASCHINENFABRIK JOHANN FISCHER 7 May 1975 [16 May 1974] 19093/75 Heading B5A Injection blow-moulding apparatus comprises fixed injection and blow moulds 15, 20, Fig. 1, with their principal axes parallel, and mandrels 191 which serve as a mould core in the injection mould and a blow mandrel in the blow mould are mounted on a carrier 19 which is rotatable about an axis parallel to the principal axes of the moulds and which is mounted on a platform 17 which is reciprocable towards and away from the moulds by a linear motor 14, 141 which is coaxial with and effects closure of the injection mould 15. In the illustrated embodiment there are six mandrels 91 on the carrier 19 and the carrier is rotated intermittently through 60 degrees by a detent mechanism, there being three temperature control stations between the injection mould 15 and the blow mould 20.
