Abstract
1469469 Marine platform support structure K VIK 4 Nov 1974 47642/74 Heading E1H A marine platform support structure comprises a prefabricated concrete foundation element 2 and a plurality of concrete elements such as 5, 6a, 6 superimposed upon one another to form a column 1 supported at its lower end on the foundation element and having apertures 11 extending centrally through them. A steel tube 7 extending through the apertures has its lower end supported on and connected by rods 8 to the foundation element , the aperture in each column element having a cross-section larger than that of the tube. The mutually abutting ends of the foundation element and lowermost column element 5 and those of each adjacent pair of column elements have mating part-spherical surfaces. The space between the tube and the walls of the apertures is filled with concrete.
