Abstract

1467578 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines A NANDASENA 12 Sept 1975 37675/75 Headings F1F In a pump for a compressible, or incompressible, fluid a vane member 15 slides axially in a stationary block 5 while its ends are sliding in undulating annular grooves 10 formed in discs 6, 7 fixed to a rotating shaft 2, the vane member being constituted by transversely tapered laminae and having a flexible and resilient portion 25 to keep portions 23, 24 in contact with the discs. Inlet and outlet bores 18, 21 communicate with the grooves on opposite sides of the vane member. Each groove may have more than one undulation, Fig. 6 (not shown). More than one pair of discs separated by respective blocks and vane members may be mounted on a common shaft.
