Abstract

1465727 Dissolving and dosing apparatus NATIONAL SANITATION SERVICES Ltd 29 May 1974 [2 Oct 1973] 23739/74 Heading B1C [Also in Divisions A5 and El] A device whereby a soluble disinfectant or the like is introduced into a stream of water comprises a sealable container 10 with lid 11 in which the soluble material is contained, e.g. in the water-permeable bag 33. Conduits 13 and 19, which may be attached to a pressurised water supply 18 and a delivery device 21 respectively, are sealed into the said lid and, within the container, are connected by a perforated pipe 22 having, near the exit point, a shoulder portion 30 open to the interior of the container. In use, water enters the container via the perforations 32 and dissolves some of the soluble material. Continued passage of water causes turbulence in the liquid in the container and some of the contents thereof are swept out into the liquid stream via the shoulder pipe 30.
