Abstract

1464632 Wheel cover discs TOYOTA JIDOSHA KOGYO KK 16 Sept 1974 [18 Sept 1973] 40278/74 Heading B7C A wheel cover disc assembly comprises a cover disc 22, a resilient mounting member 20 having hooked portions for detachably mounting the member on a vehicle wheel, the hooked portions extending radially inwardly from respective arms towards the axis of the disc; and fastening means, e.g. a nut and bolt arrangement, for securing the cover disc to the mounting member. As illustrated in Fig. 2, the mounting member is detachably mounted on a wheel by two hooks 20a engaging in apertures 10a in the wheel, and the cover disc is secured to the mounting member by a bolt 23 having a spring washer 24 thereon screwed into a nut 21 welded on the mounting member. In the embodiment of Fig. 4, the mounting member has two or more hooks 20d, each engaging behind a respective wheel securing nut 13. The mounting member may be provided with a bolt instead of a nut 21, the bolt extending axially outwardly through the cover disc and receiving a spring washer and nut thereon. The cover disc 22<SP>1</SP> may cover the whole wheel body portion.
