Abstract
1464526 Fluid dispensers BRAS SpA 23 Jan 1975 [4 Feb 1974] 3019/75 Heading A4T A fluid dispenser which provides a substantially constant rate of flow independent of the intrinsic physical properties of the fluid comprises a screw feed 5 to direct flow through an outlet port 12 to a valve whose valve closure member 16 is spring- biased closed. The degree of opening of the valve depends on the upstream pressure which in turn depends on the viscosity of the fluid for a given screw speed. When the fluid is thick the valve opens more than when the fluid is thin. The screw is driven by a timer controlled motor 6 via magnets 7, 8. The valve may have a side port 22 to a mixing chamber 21. The fluid may be syrup mixed with carbonated water or alternatively the dispenser may be used for filling bottles with chemicals.
