Abstract

1463812 Locks H G HOLT 30 Aug 1974 [26 June 1973] 30384/73 Heading E2A A fixing stud 1 projecting from a base or frame 1a is bored to receive a cylinder-lock barrel 3 by which it secures an apertured component 6 of a shutter or door. The component 6 is held down against surface 1a by a shroud 5 which is, in turn, located by flanges 3b, 5a. Insertion of a key at 8, withdraws the tumblers 9 from circumferential grooves in the bore, to allow the barrel and shroud to be removed to free component 6. The shroud may be located by a circlip 7, as shown.
