Abstract

1462302 Furniture joints S SVENSSON 10 Jan 1974 01148/74 Heading F2M A structural joint for furniture is constructed from a central module body 1 in the form of a cube having a socket and a screwthreaded bore in each face thereof together with a connector 3 having a spigot for engagement with said socket and a throughbore for a screw 2. The connector is preferably of U-shape and the limbs thereof are expanded as by means of opposed screws 5 to internally engage a tubular member 4. The member 1 is made of aluminium or plastics, the member 3 of aluminium or glass-fibre reinforced plastics and the member 4 of aluminium or steel. For numerous minor details involving cover-plates 6, connectors, a snaplock for securing a table top, fixing pins, locking screws &c. the Specification and remaining drawings (not shown) should be referred to.
