Abstract
1461927 Transformers INSTYTUT TELE-I RADIOTECHICZNY 6 June 1974 [7 June 1973] 25063/74 Heading HIT A method of manufacturing transformer windings as shown in Figs. 1 and 2 comprises the steps of winding the primary and secondary coils, 2 and 3, separately from heat or solvent bonding enamelled wire. The coils may be subsequently assembled, one inside the other, while a layer of insulation 4 between the cores is setting and the ends of the coils connected to a termination tag 10 carrying printed circuit connecting pins 7. The assembly may be encapsulated in an insulating compound 8 such as synthetic resin by casting, fluidization or moulding methods. Alternatively the coils may be mounted on insulating bobbin 9, which is in two parts, with further insulating layers 5 and 6 of, for example, self-adhesive insulating tape or thermo-shrinking sleeving. The coils may be wound on a mandrel from wire coated with an enamel which may be bonded by hot air, direct current heating or the application of an alcohol solvent.
