Abstract

1461802 Post supports D J MILLS 20 Feb 1975 [22 Feb 1974] 8139/74 Heading E1B A post support comprising an elongate ground engaging portion 3 capable of being driven vertically into the ground and a post engaging portion 2 so formed that a post engaged therewith extends parallel with the elongate ground engaging portion. The post engaging portion may (as shown) be a socket which receives the end of a post or it may be a bracket or single plate upstanding from the ground engaging portion. In a modification two ground engaging portions are connected by an arcuate post supporting strap. The posts may be used to support a fence or as the corner posts of an outbuilding.
