Abstract

1461588 Adjustable leg supports for chairs and beds P LANGHAM 28 Nov 1974 [20 Sept 1973] 44094/73 Headings A4H A4J and A4U An adjustable furniture support comprises two adjustably inter-connected arms 1, 1' or 2, 2' contained in a generally horizontal plane, each arm having a generally vertical hollow support member 9 for receiving a plurality of removable blocks 10 and the lower end of a leg of a piece of furniture, wherein in use the height of said leg may be adjusted by the insertion of one or more blocks 10 in the support member 9. As shown, a support for a chair comprises two pairs of slotted arms 1, 1' and 2, 2' pivotally and slidably inter-connected by respective bolts 4, the two pairs of arms being slidably mounted on a slotted connecting member 7 by said bolts 4. In a modification, a support for one side of a bed comprises only one pair of said arms Figs. 3, 4 (not shown).
