1460934 Toothed gearing BRITISH LEYLAND UK Ltd 20 Aug 1975 [13 Sept 1974] 39932/74 Heading F2Q In a gear tooth which has a chamfer at least at one of its ends, the chamfer has the following characteristics: (a) in plan it is at an angle of substantially 45 degrees with regard to the longitudinal axis of the tooth, and (b) in end elevation the edge of the chamfer which lies in the end surface of the tooth extends substantially parallel to that side of the tooth in which the chamfer is formed. The chamfered end of the tooth is also radiused at the top corner of the tooth, when viewed in side elevation.
