1460262 Floor-mounted door closer VEREINIGTE BAUSCHLAGFABRIKEN GRETSCH & CO GmbH 15 Jan 1975 [4 Feb 1974] 1663/75 Heading E2M In a floor-mounted door closer having a housing 1 closed by a lid 2, and a cover plate 13 having a cut-out (14), Fig. 1 (not shown), extending to one edge to receive a protruding closer spindle 3, a closure part 8 is fitted around the spindle in a sealing manner before the spindle is connected to the door, the closure part 8 and cover-plate cut-out being complementary shaped to prevent the ingress of dirt. The closure part is press-fitted on a sealing sleeve 5 which surrounds the spindle. The cover plate is fitted after the spindle has been connected to the door, or a lever attached to the door, by advancing it from the side.
