Abstract

1459833 Distribution box DORMAN SMITH BRITMAC Ltd 10 April 1975 [18 April 1974] 16903/74 Heading H2E A sheet metal insert 10, for use with an electrical distribution unit comprises webs 19, 20 and a support member 21. The support member may be L-shaped and welded centrally and at right angles to the webs. A mounting plate 25 which is attached to the longer limb of the L, is supported in the distribution unit so that the insert can assume a first position Fig. 5, with the two webs lying above the lid of the unit constituting a cable guard and in a second position (Figs. 6, 7, not shown) wherein one of the webs 20, lies level with the lid and blanks off the cable outlet of the lid. The mounting plate 25 may have longitudinal edge portions 26, 27. Tabs 28 on the webs retain the cable beneath web 19.
