1459609 Piezo-electric resonator INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 10 Dec 1974 [28 Dec 1973] 53326/74 Heading H1E To hold a plate-like piezo-electric resonator 1 having electrodes 7 over the central area of both faces, with areas 8 projecting to the periphery at different points on the two faces, slotted 6 strips 4 mounted by contact pins 3 on a base 2, the strips being either V-shaped or arcuate, grip the edges and are connected to the electrode projections by conducting cement. Relative thermal expansion is taken up elastically. The arms of V strips may be unequal, with the vertices near the base (Fig. 4, not shown). A rectangular plate with all four corners bevelled (Fig. 5, not shown) may be supported by unequal-armed Vs; as with only the upper two plate corners bevelled (Fig. 6, not shown), inwardly bent arcuate slotted strips, springing from outwardly diverging slotted roots with a web separating the two slots in each strip can hold the plate securely, the contact pins being moved inwards; the lower slots are approximately one third of the length of the upper in vertical projection.
