Abstract

1457538 Imitation solid-fuel fires PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 5 Dec 1973 56318/73 Heading F4W The subject-matter of this Specification is substantially the same as that described in Specification 1,457,540, but the claims are concerned with an imitation solid-fuel fire comprising a translucent screen behind which is located a fuel-simulating member that lies at an acute angle to and is supported adjacent a lower part of the screen, a lamp positioned for illuminating a rear side of the screen and a flicker device associated with the lamp, wherein the screen includes a red colour filter material. The screen may be of laminated construction having a front surface of a black or copper-coloured material and a rear surface of the red colour filter material, whereby the colour of the screen changes when the lamp is switched on.
