Abstract

1457055 Reciprocating pumps SWELAB INSTRUMENT AB 26 March 1974 [29 March 1973] 13375/74 Heading F1A A liquid dispenser for repetitively dispensing a predetermined volume of liquid, e.g. for laboratory use, comprises a pump unit 15 mounted in a reservoir 13 and having a spring-loaded plunger assembly 17, the stroke of which is set by an adjustable stop 21, the pump and reservoir assembly being removably located on a stand 22 supporting a power unit 23 having a motor 27 reciprocating an actuating member 28 via a pin-and-slot mechanism 26. The stroke of actuating member 28 is greater than that of plunger assembly 17, a spring-loaded, lost-motion connection being provided between member 28 and rod 25. The pump unit may be manually operated when removed from the stand. Motor 27 may be controlled to run continuously, or to perform one pump operating cycle and then stop, with rod 25 in its retracted position.
