Abstract

1456524 Brushes IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 17 May 1974 [30 May 1973] 25755/73 Heading A4K A brush comprises a plurality of units each comprising a bundle of filaments encased in a thermoplastics material sheath 2 and having an unsheathed end portion. The filaments are sealed to the sheath at the sheathed end of the unit. The brush may comprise twelve units secured to a wooden former 7, which also forms the handle, by a ferrule 8 and nails 9. The filaments may be regenerated cellulose, metal, glass or polyterephthalate, nylon or polyolefin. The sheath may be of polyethylene, pvc, nylon or a linear polyester.
