Abstract

1456052 Hair dryers E REED 5 Sept 1974 [10 Sept 1973] 38908/74 Heading A5R In a hair-dryer comprising a heater, a fanassembly and a hood, the flow pattern of hot air over hair is controlled by funnel-shaped valves 15 connected to the hood by universal joints (22) (Fig. 3 not shown) and the amount of air flow is regulated by manually adjustable valve members (18). The valves may be provided with perforated metal or plastics shields (26) and some may be replaced by snap-on U-shaped metal or plastics shields to regulate the direction of air-flow. An exhaust pipe may be connected to the hood.
