Abstract

1456049 Laminates KUFNER TEXTILWERKE KG 28 March 1974 [28 March 1973] 13790/74 Heading B5N A fleece lining web for garments consists of a composite of at least one fleece comprising at least one first fleece layer formed of fibres parallel to the plane of the web but randomly oriented and/or of at least one lightweight woven fabric having a weight not exceeding 100 g./m.<SP>2</SP>, and at least one second fibrous fleece layer formed of fibres which have a high degree of parallel orientation, the composite being held together by sewing with synthetic threads and the at least one first fibrous fleece layer being formed of synthetic fibres of 1-3 denier and the at least one second fibrous fleece layer being formed of animal fibres and/or regenerated cellulose fibres of 4-100 denier. In the second fibrous fleece layer at least 75% of the fibres extend in one direction within an angle of deviation of 25 degrees. A single first random orientation fibrous fleece or lightweight fabric may be joined to a second fibrous fleece having parallel orientation by stitching or the latter may be sandwiched between two random-orientation fibrous fleeces or two lightweight fabrics or between a random-orientation fibrous fleece and a lightweight fabric. The first fleece may be of polyester, polyacrylonitrile or polyamide fibres, the second fleece may be of sheep's wool, goat hair, camel hair, horse hair, human hair or viscose yarn and the lightweight fabric may be of cotton, rayon, wool, hair or synthetic fibres. The animal fibres in the second fleece may have been subjected to an anti-felting treatment. The layers may be sewn together using polyamide or polyester threads with widely spaced apart seams, the synthetic threads optionally being shrunk by heat treatment. The sewn composite may be reinforced by means of reactive bonders, e.g. poly(meth-)acrylates, which may be applied by spraying or impregnation in lattice or grid form. The second fleece of parallel fibres may be applied over the whole width or over part only of the width of the webs. Variation in the resiliency of the web from one edge to the other may be obtained by varying the density, denier and chemical nature of the fibres of the second fleece of parallel fibres from one edge to the other, the linings being cut out in a direction extending transversely to the direction of the webs. The fleece lining web may be coated in regular or irregular grid pattern with an adhesive, e.g. a polyamide polyethylene, polyurethane or plasticized polyvinyl chloride.
