Abstract

1455216 Paper roll holders FISKEBY AB 25 April 1974 [27 April 1973] 18238/74 Heading B8M Paper strip is unwound from the centre of a roll (supported within a housing 4 on a base 1) as it is withdrawn by pulling the free end 9 through an opening 2 and tearing off a required length against teeth 8 on the lower edge of a flange 3 extending along all or most of the periphery of the base. A recess 5 forms a seating for the lower edge of the housing 4. The radius of the flange is larger than its height so that, after each tearing operation, the free end 9 is readily visible and accessible. The base and flange may be formed from one piece of material e.g. sheet metal, or a separate base may be loosely placed in a flange on brackets or like supports or may be attached to the inside of the flange e.g. welded thereto below the recess 5. The flange is supported as by a holder 6 on a column 7.
