Abstract
1454924 Data transmission; f.s.k. modulators SIEMENS AG 24 June 1974 [29 June 1973] 27871/74 Heading H4P A f.s.k. modulator has for each binary valve a different frequency square wave oscillator feeding into a fixed frequency divider through a gating circuit controlled by binary signal input. The gating circuit may comprise NAND gates N1-N3 and inverter I1 and the frequency divider may comprise a dual circuit counter 21, 22. It is stated that phase discontinuities on change from one frequency to another are reduced in proportion to the total division ratio, i.e. in the case of a counter, discontinuity is halved at each successive stage F1, F2 &c.
