Abstract

1393124 Automatic phase control ELECTRONIQUE MARCEL DASSAULT 5 June 1972 [14 June 1971] 26110/72 Heading H3A A frequency synthesizer utilizes a bi-stable circuit as a frequency changer, one of the two signals to be mixed being applied to its clock input. The synthesizer comprises a free running oscillator 10 coupled to the bi-stable frequency changer 12 by a fixed frequency divider 11. The other input to the bi-stable 12 is provided by a reference frequency oscillator 15, which also provides one input to phase comparator 21 via another fixed divider 23. The difference frequency output from bi-stable 12 is fed to the other input of phase comparator 21 via variable divider 17, and to resulting error signal output from comparator 21 is fed via filter 24 to control the frequency of oscillator 10.
