Abstract

1454825 Ice-block dispenser HELLEM SA 12 Nov 1974 [12 Nov1973] 48800/74 Heading A4A [ Also in Divisions B8, F3 and F4] A dispenser for ice-blocks comprises a rotary circular mould plate 6 provided with cavities 8, arranged according to a regular angular distribution, for ice-blocks, a plate 9 covering the openings of the cavities and having an aperture 10 having the shape and size of one opening allowing an ice-block to pass through, a ratchet means to enable the openings of the cavities to be brought successively into alignment with the aperture and means for ejecting an ice-cube through the aperture, the rotary mould plate 6 being detachable and positioned in use of the distributer with openings facing downwards. The ejection means comprises a fork 14 having two arms for exerting pressure on the material forming the walls of one of the cavities which is aligned with the aperture. The central part of the plate 6 forms a ring 11, which engages in a central aperture in plate 9, and has toothing 12 on its inner surface which co-operates with spring- loaded lug 13 integral with fork 14. The lug 13 pivots about pin 15 and is moved by plate 24 via levers 17, connecting rods 18 and arms 21. Depression of plate 24 causes rotation of plate 6 to align the next cavity 8 with aperture 10 and presses fork 14 on the walls of cavity 8 to eject the icecube into a glass &c.
