Abstract

1454711 Laminated construction panels SOC D'ETUDES DES TECHNIQUES D'INDUSTRIALISATION DU LOGEMENT SETIL 11 Feb 1975 [21 Feb 1974] 5717/75 Heading B5N A construction panel is made by spacing apart a foamed glass panel and a covering panel and injecting foamable polyurethane resin into the space. As shown, a series of foamed glass panels 2 1 , 2 2 and covering panels 1, 4, e.g. wood, metal, plastics are disposed in a mould and the resin 5 is injected through a series of perforated pipes 3 to fill the available space, including 2 3 between panels 2 1 , 2 2 . A section member 6 may be provided in the mould and allows for subsequent assembly of finished panels. The resin 5 may contain pre-stressed reinforcement, e.g. metal rods, glass fibres. The pipes 3 may remain as reinforcement. Foamed glass balls may be provided in the space before injection therein of the resin.
