Abstract

1454640 Printing blankets CONTINENTAL GUMMI-WERKE AG and STREB KG 1 April 1974 [7 April 1973] 14325/74 Heading B6C A printing blanket is composed of a base layer, e.g. rubber layer 3 intermediate two fabric layers 1, 2, carrying a layer adhesively secured thereto, so that, upon separation of the two layers, no adhesive or layer remains upon the base layer. Thus, at an end, the layers may be separated and the blanket secured to a support by doubling over the base layer as in Fig. 2, or by attaching a marginal strip 9, as in Fig. 3, or by clamps engaging the base layer. The layers may be of synthetic resin, e.g. phenolaldehyde resin, and one of the layers may include cork particles and/or microspheres, or be foamed.
