Abstract
1453984 Selective printing KOMBINAT ZENTRONIK VEB 13 Dec 1973 [14 Dec 1972] 57857/73 Heading B6F Thermographic print head includes a semiconductive layer acting as the heatable resistance layer, a first metal layer of a series of conductors and a second metal layer comprises a common return conductor or a series of conductors. In Fig. 1 the first layer of conductors 2-8 and common return conductor 10 define the areas of the semiconductive layer 9 immediately between them as the heating areas. A quartz layer 11 is provided over the layer 10. The layer 9 may be of germanium. In Fig. 2, the first layer comprises conductors 21 the second layer by conductors 23 and semiconductor by layers 22. Heating occurs where conductors 21, 23 overlap. The semiconductive layer may be polycrystalline or monocrystalline.
