Abstract

1453767 Colour television INDESIT INDUSTRIA ELETTRO DOMESTICI ITALIANA SpA 22 Feb 1974 [23 Feb 1973] 8258/74 Heading H4F A colour killer is operated by a threshold detector 15 in response to the absence of a halfline-frequency identification signal derived at 14 from bursts separated from a received PAL colour television signal; the output of circuit 15 is also fed to circuits 17, 18, 19, circuit 17 including a light-emitting diode (D207, Fig. 5, not shown) which is lit when a colour television signal is being received, circuit 18 (Fig. 4, not shown) being a red signal amplifier, the signal from 15 causing the gain of this amplifier to be greater when a colour signal is being received than when a monochrome signal is being received, and circuit 19 (Fig. 3, not shown) being a trap to remove the colour subcarrier from the luminance signal during colour reception. The chrominance signal is fed via amplifier 11 to a delay line decoder 12 and thence to a circuit 6 including demodulators, a PAL switch, the colour killer, and a matrix circuit.
