Abstract

1453290 Friction false twisters LEESONA CORP 10 Dec 1973 [18 Dec 1972] 57076/73 Heading DID A friction false twisting apparatus comprises a pair of members 12, 12' having projections 16 which interdigitate but are spaced apart to form a clearance to accommodate the yarn 22 which is directed normally across the projections, the projections each being set at an angle to a respective plane normal to its direction of motion and the said planes being at an angle to each other. A friction material such as rubber 20 may be provided on the edges of the projections. An alternative embodiment to that shown employs belts with projections in place of the rollers 12, 12'.
