Abstract
1452301 Photographic direct-positive silver halide emulsions AGFA-GEVAERT 20 Nov 1973 [8 Dec 1972] 53859/73 Heading G2C Photographic direct-positive silver halide emulsion of improved photo-sensitivity comprise silver halide grains which are fogged to a degree as defined in the Specification, which are monodisperse i.e. have a grain size distribution such that at least 95% by weight of the silver halide grains do not differ by more than 40% from the average grain size, and which have a silver iodide content of 1 0 to 20 mol. per cent. The grains may have interior electron traps and may be core and shell grains in which the cores may be sensitized with noble metal and/or sulphur compounds or by reduction and the shells are fogged. The emulsions may contain developing agents and in processing the activator or developer solutions may be free from halide ions. The processing solution may be applied as a viscous solution e.g. from a rupturable container. Specification 1452302 is referred to.
