Abstract

1451502 Clutch control AISIN SEIKI KK 6 Dec 1973 [21 Dec 1972] 56724/73 Heading F2L . In a clutch release mechanism in which a self-centring clutch release bearing assembly A is moved against clutch release means (comprising the inner periphery of a diaphragm spring 4) by pivoting of a lever 12 by a push rod 11 of a clutch release cylinder 10, the cylinder 10 incorporates a spring 2 which provides a force to maintain the bearing A against the spring 4 when the clutch is engaged (the force being too small to disengage the clutch) and so prevents change of the central position of the bearing A. As shown in Fig. 2 the bearing 14 is held against a friction surface 18 by a wavy spring 17 and is radially movable against this friction force to provide the selfcentring action. The spring 2 may be replaced by a force from a releasing cylinder.
