Abstract

1451093 Transport line for cold medium PHILIPS GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN NV 18 Oct 1973 [21 Oct 1972] 48582/73 Heading F4H A cold transport line comprises cold transport medium tubes 2 suspended by nylon wires 6 from a surrounding radiation shield 3. Two cooling medium tubes 4a, 4b in thermal contact with the outside of the shield 3 are, together with the shield, suspended by nylon bands 7 from rings 8 supported in a stainless steel flexible bellows 5 forming a vacuum jacket. The tube 4a permanently engages the shield 3 through a layer 9 of heat-conductive material and a tape 10 of copper foil is wrapped around this tube 4a and the shield 3. A radiationreflective foil ribbon 11 is wrapped around the assembly of the tape envelope 10 and the tube 4b. The tubes 2, 4a, 4b and the shield 3 are formed of synthetic material.
