Abstract

1449562 X-ray control systems PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 25 Feb 1974 [2 March 1973] 8380/74 Heading H2H An X-ray diagnostic system comprises a plurality of assemblies each containing at least one X-ray examining apparatus which are used independently of each other and units for the power supply to the X-ray sources, the power supply units being combinations of first and second kinds of generator units, the first kind being permanently connected to the X-ray examining apparatus in the assemblies the number of the second kind being smaller than the number of assemblies and which are grouped as a central supply unit which can be connected to the assemblies as required by a coupling unit. The central supply unit is associated with a central control unit which processes adjusting and exposure starting signals originating in the assemblies in accordance with the priority granted to the X-ray examining apparatus. Some of the generator units, at least, consist of high voltage units, such as transformer, rectifier, filter and switching units, together with exposure timing devices. The system also includes fluorescopy units and a computer. The X-ray tubes may include rotary anode systems.
