Abstract

1449178 Rock drills ATLAS COPCO AB 6 Dec 1973 [3 July 1973] 56728/73 Heading B3C A rock drill comprises a boom 10 pivoted to a bracket 12 at 11, and pivotally supporting a boom head 38, at 39, the bracket being journalled to a base 16 by a shaft 15 which is rotated by means 13, and head 38 supporting a drilling machine 44, hydraulic cylinders 28, 29, 37, being provided for causing the pivoting movements. Bracket 12 is fixed to shaft 15 which is rotatable through 360 degrees about axis 14. An extension 33 to the boom is adjustable by an hydraulic cylinder within the boom, and the feed bar 43 of the drilling machine is displaced by an hydraulic cylinder 40. Drilling machine 44 rotates and delivers impacts against a drill steel 46 which is guided by means 47, 48, arranged on the feed bar.
