1449039 Removing sulphur dioxide from gas streams TRENTHAM CORP 23 Oct 1973 49302/73 Heading B1L Sulphur dioxide is removed from gases by countercurrent contact with an aqueous solution of a trialkyl phosphate (e.g. a 5% triethyl phosphate solution). The solution may also contain an inorganic phosphate and may be regenerated by steam stripping.
