Abstract

1448941 Fungicidal preparation HOECHST AG 14 May 1974 [30 May 1973] 21252/74 Heading A5E A fungicidal dusting preparation comprises 10-50% by weight of copper oxychloride, 2-20% by weight of a polyvinyl alcohol and/or i a partially saponified (70-99%) polyvinyl acetate or propionate, and an inert carrier material, the whole having a particle size of less than 25Á. Examples of wetting agents are naphthalene sulphonic acid, sodium oleyl methyl taurate and preferably cell pitch (calcium lignin sulphonate). The mixture may also contain a resin, preferably colophony, coumarone resin a gum arabic and grinding auxiliaries, e.g. sodium sulphate. The inert carrier material comprises for example 'talc, kaolin and preferably chalk.
