Abstract

1448821 Clutch control CAV Ltd 11 Oct 1973 [19 Oct 1972] 48173/72 Heading F2L A friction clutch 10 is disengaged against springs within it by a pedal 11a connected to the clutch release mechanism by links 11, 14 and 15, the link 14 being pivoted about a point D movable by a piston and cylinder device 12 in response to fluid pressure received through a valve 13 controlled, in the embodiment shown, by a link 16 pivoted to link 15 and a part of link 11, the arrangement comprising a followup servo system. The pedal 11a is biased against a stop 28 by a spring 29. In a second embodiment (Fig. 4, not shown) the valve 13 is controlled by an extension of link 14 beyond pivot D, rather than by link 16.
