1447961 Steering and driving invalid carriages K J SHEPPARD 17 Sept 1973 [15 June 1972] 27992/72 Heading B7H An invalid or other carriage is driven by individual reversible battery powered electric motors 3 and 4 driving wheels 1 and 2 arranged on a common axis 11 at right angles to an axis through castors 5, 6. By controlling the speed and direction of the motors 3 and 4 through a control switch (21), Fig. 2 (not shown), the carriage may be steered.
