Abstract
1447232 Controlling pumps SPEED-OKLENE EQUIPMENT CO Ltd 5 Dec 1973 [15 Nov 1972] 52828/72 Headings F1A and A2B A pump assembly including a pump 1, a main conduit 2 and a spray nozzle 3, comprises a branch line 4 located between the spray nozzle and the pump, a pressure switch (14), Fig. 3 (not shown) and an electrical relay 12 adapted so that closure of the spray nozzle causes a fluid-pressure rise in branch 4 to actuate the pressure switch and hence the relay which stops the motor of the pump. A non-return valve (10), Fig. 2 (not shown) may be located between the branch 4 and the pump so that fluid-pressure is maintained in branch 4 when the spray nozzle is closed. When the spray nozzle 3 is opened the pressure decreases in the branch to actuate the relay and start the pump.
